Power, LEDs, and Wi-Fi

  • Kits take power on the USB-C Power Delivery port (5–15 V, ≥2 A). The USB data port is a separate cable for the management Ethernet gadget.
  • Hold the power button about 8 seconds until the readiness LED turns green. Wait about one minute before expecting the dashboard.
  • Management LAN: 192.168.10.1 on br0 (Wi-Fi AP + USB gadget).
  • Change mode from the dashboard Network page, or: wifi_mode.sh ap or wifi_mode.sh sta <ssid> <passphrase>.
  • wifi_mode.sh status prints mode, hostapd, wpa_supplicant, iw link.

STA mode stops hostapd, writes /etc/wpa_supplicant-wlan0.conf (mode 600), and DHCP-client wlan0. The board then may not be at 192.168.10.1.

Do not leave a production unit as an open lab AP with root/root.
