No SSID	Wait 10 s; kaonic-init / hostapd; wifi_mode.sh status; STA mode hides the AP
SSID not Kaonic-XXXX	Current code uses Kaonic /suffix/
SSH connection refused	Dropbear disabled; wrong IP (STA DHCP); you used sshd unit names
SSH auth fail	Password not root anymore; you are not on br0
USB gadget no Ethernet	Data cable on the USB data port (not only PD power); host RNDIS/CDC driver; still 192.168.10.1 if bridged
Dashboard blank or blocked	Wait ~1 min after the green LED; try another browser; HTTPS-only extensions; accept or install the device certificate

wifi_mode.sh ap restores AP if the interface exists.
